Where it came from
The LEGO Friends set 562010-1, titled Turtle's Paradise, was released as a promotional polybag set. Designed to align with the core aesthetic of the Friends theme, it features a small buildable habitat for a pet turtle, reflecting the line's focus on animal care and friendship-centered play narratives that became a staple of the series following its 2012 debut.
The design philosophy behind the Friends line involved moving away from the traditional minifigure toward the more detailed and expressive minidoll format. This specific set emphasizes compact, accessible play, mirroring the brand's intent to offer affordable, entry-level building experiences that complement the larger residential and commercial sets found throughout the Heartlake City landscape.
