Where it came from
Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor (card 36/204) was released as a special rarity character card in the inaugural set of the Disney Lorcana trading card game, The First Chapter, which launched in 2023. Published by Ravensburger, the game was developed to capture the magic of Disney's extensive character library within a strategic gameplay framework, marking a significant entry for the company into the competitive collectible card game market.
The card features artwork by illustrator Kristin Salisbury, who depicts Mickey in his iconic role from the 1938 animated short. The design utilizes a classic storybook aesthetic consistent with the set's artistic direction, aiming to evoke nostalgia for Disney’s golden age of animation while serving as a high-value piece for players and collectors seeking strong character synergy in the game’s first competitive season.
