Where it came from
Wasabi is a character card introduced in the Azurite Sea expansion for the Disney Lorcana trading card game. Released as part of the game's ongoing effort to integrate a wider array of characters from the Disney catalog, this card represents the fan-favorite character from the 2014 film Big Hero 6. It was designed to function within the game's established color-coded mechanical system, prioritizing synergy with cards that emphasize specific stat lines or strategic playstyles.
The card features artwork commissioned by Ravensburger to maintain the distinct aesthetic continuity of the Lorcana universe. Like other cards in the special rarity tier of the Azurite Sea set, this version of Wasabi was created to offer collectors a visually unique variant of the character. Its design and placement in the expansion were received as part of the broader rollout of the set, intended to diversify deck-building options for both casual players and competitive participants.
