Aerial Modification

Aerial Modification was released in the Jumpstart 2022 set, a product designed to facilitate quick, randomized gameplay by combining two distinct themes into a single deck. As a common enchantment card within the 'Vehicle' theme, it functions as a mechanical support piece, allowing players to turn non-creature artifacts into creatures while simultaneously providing a stat boost. Its design is typical of modern Magic: The Gathering utility cards, focusing on synergy within specific archetypes rather than broad competitive play.

The card features illustration by Wisnu Tan, who emphasizes the visual language of the Kaladesh aesthetic often associated with artifact-heavy sets. The artwork focuses on the integration of magical energy into mechanical constructs, a recurring motif in the game's depiction of flight and artifice. Like many cards in the Jumpstart series, it was intended to bridge the gap between casual playability and thematic flavor, serving as an accessible entry point for newer players or a reliable tool for collectors interested in artifact-focused deckbuilding.
