Bicycle Rack

The Bicycle Rack card was released as part of the Planechase 2012 series, specifically featured within the specialized supplemental card sets designed for the casual, multiplayer Planechase format. This card functioned as a planar card, representing a unique location within the Magic: The Gathering multiverse, rather than a traditional card that a player would include in a standard deck. The design was intended to introduce chaotic, location-based variance into gameplay, encouraging players to experience the shifting environments of different planes.

The artwork for these cards was commissioned by Wizards of the Coast to maintain the distinct visual identity of the various realms depicted in the lore. As a planar card, its aesthetic was crafted to evoke the specific atmosphere of its designated plane, utilizing digital illustration styles that were prevalent during that era of the game’s development. The card was received by the community as a niche piece of game infrastructure, valued primarily by players who enjoyed the specific, structured randomness that the Planechase format provides to group play.
