Brainstorm

Brainstorm is one of the most iconic cards in the history of Magic: The Gathering, originally appearing in the 1996 Ice Age set. Its design, attributed to the game's early development team, provides a powerful form of card selection that has become a staple in eternal formats. The version from the Reality Fracture Commander deck features updated aesthetics consistent with modern expansions, serving as a functional reprint that maintains the utility of the original while integrating into the cohesive visual identity of contemporary supplemental products.

The art featured on these modern printings often seeks to capture the chaotic, intellectual energy inherent in the card's namesake effect. Illustrators tasked with depicting such spells typically focus on themes of arcane knowledge and psychic upheaval. Since its inception, Brainstorm has been widely received by the competitive community as a high-skill-ceiling card, consistently influencing deck-building strategies and tournament play due to its ability to manipulate the top of a player's library.
