What it does
If one or more +1/+1 counters would be put on a creature you control, twice that many +1/+1 counters are put on that creature instead.
As Aclazotz's undead forces approached the temple of Ojer Kaslem, they met a roaring wall of vibrant, flourishing life.

Where it came from
Branching Evolution was originally introduced in the Jumpstart set in 2020, designed as a powerful rare enchantment that synergizes with +1/+1 counter strategies. It gained renewed accessibility and visibility through its inclusion in The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander set, where it appeared as card number 234, maintaining its role as a staple for green-aligned decks that rely on creature growth and modification.
The card features artwork by Wisnu Tan, who captured the untamed, primordial essence of a prehistoric ecosystem. The illustration centers on a dense, vibrant jungle canopy, emphasizing the theme of rapid adaptation and flourishing nature. Within the competitive community, the card is frequently praised for its ability to effectively double the impact of creature counters, making it a reliable and highly sought-after utility piece for casual and Commander playstyles.
