Where it came from
This card features the dual-natured protagonist of Final Fantasy IV, Cecil Harvey, representing his pivotal narrative arc from a Dark Knight of Baron to a redeemed Paladin. It was released as part of the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game, a tactical tabletop experience developed by Square Enix that draws upon the decades-long history of the iconic video game franchise.
The card’s design employs dynamic, character-focused artwork typical of the series' visual identity, emphasizing the transformation between Cecil's two classes. It was crafted to appeal to both fans of the 1991 source material and competitive players, with the dual-side or transforming mechanic serving as a thematic nod to the character's internal struggle and his eventual mastery of the light.
