Cuombajj Witches

Cuombajj Witches was released in the 1994 Magic: The Gathering expansion set Chronicles. This set was unique at the time for being a compilation of reprints from earlier expansion sets, designed to make rare and harder-to-find cards more accessible to a growing player base. As a common creature card, it was intended to serve as a functional utility piece in black-aligned decks, providing players with a repeatable source of damage at the cost of some strategic flexibility.

The artwork was commissioned from Kaja Foglio, a notable illustrator whose whimsical and distinct style became a hallmark of the game's early aesthetic.
