Where it came from
Devastating Onslaught, assigned collector number 132s within the Edge of Eternities Promos, represents a specialized promotional release within the broader expansion set. These promotional cards were produced to incentivize organized play and reward community participation during the launch windows of the Edge of Eternities series, typically distributed through official tournament circuits or game store events.
The card's aesthetic adheres to the high-fantasy illustrative style characteristic of the set, focusing on dynamic compositions that reflect the titular theme of overwhelming power. The visual design was intended to evoke a sense of scale and impact, aligning with the narrative arc of the expansion. Upon release, such promotional variants were generally received by the player base as prestigious versions of core game mechanics, often sought after for their distinct visual treatment and limited distribution window.
