Provenance

Where it came from

The Dragon token, numbered 11 in the Outlaws of Thunder Junction Commander set, was released by Wizards of the Coast in 2024 to support the mechanics introduced in the Western-themed expansion. These tokens function as auxiliary game pieces, summoned by specific spells or abilities within the Commander decks to represent creatures currently on the battlefield.

The visual design of the token reflects the set's high-fantasy interpretation of the American Old West, featuring a creature integrated into the arid, lawless aesthetic of the plane of Thunder Junction. As a utility piece designed for functional gameplay, it follows the standardized formatting used for all supplemental tokens in the set to ensure clarity for players during fast-paced matches.
