What it does
Whenever another creature enters, you may stand up and say in a deep, booming voice, "Presenting . . . " and that creature's name. If you do, put a +1/+1 counter on that creature.
The ogre appealed the match loss and got it downgraded to a warning.

Where it came from
Emcee was released as part of the Unsanctioned set in 2020, a silver-bordered expansion for the Magic: The Gathering card game. Designed specifically for a ready-to-play boxed experience, the set embraced the chaotic, meta-fictional humor typical of Wizards of the Coast's 'Un-' series. These cards were crafted to bend the standard rules of the game, encouraging players to prioritize amusement and social interaction over traditional competitive strategy.
The card features artwork by illustrator Randy Vargas, who captured the character as a vibrant, energetic host echoing the persona of a rap battle or stage master. The design focuses on the card's unique ability to act as a verbal facilitator for game interactions, reflecting the set’s broader goal of turning the playing table into a performance space. Upon its release, it was well-received by fans of casual play for its ability to bring a distinct layer of personality and table-talk to a standard game session.
