What it does
Whenever another creature enters, you may stand up and say in a deep, booming voice, "Presenting . . . " and that creature's name. If you do, put a +1/+1 counter on that creature.
The ogre appealed the match loss and got it downgraded to a warning.

Where it came from
Emcee was released in 2004 as part of the Unhinged set, the third silver-bordered expansion for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Designed by Wizards of the Coast, the set was intended as a humorous, self-referential departure from the game's standard competitive rules, incorporating mechanics like dexterity tests and verbal interaction. The card itself exemplifies the set's meta-commentary, poking fun at the role of the tournament organizer or judge in managing a high-stakes environment.
The artwork for Emcee was created by Dan Dos Santos, a prominent illustrator known for his fantasy and science fiction work. In line with the irreverent tone of Unhinged, the design emphasizes the theatrical nature of a card game event. Upon its release, the card was received as a lighthearted novelty within the player community, appreciated more for its functional comedy and thematic resonance with the game's culture than for its impact on tournament play.
