What it does
When you planeswalk to Enigma Ridges, each player who controls fewer lands than the player who controls the most lands searches their library for a number of basic land cards less than or equal to the difference, reveals them, puts them into their hand, then shuffles.
Whenever chaos ensues, draw a card, then you may put a land card from your hand onto the battlefield.

Where it came from
Enigma Ridges was released in 2023 as part of the March of the Machine Commander set, a collection of supplemental decks designed to accompany the core Magic: The Gathering expansion exploring the multiversal invasion of the Phyrexians. This cycle of lands was specifically designed to provide utility and mana fixing for players engaging in the Commander format, featuring art by Cliff Childs that depicts the surreal, transformative landscapes of the multiverse caught in the chaos of war.
The design of the land reflects a shift toward offering flexible, non-basic land options that reward specific mechanical themes like the convoke or proliferate keywords prominent in that era of gameplay. Upon release, the card was received as a functional, accessible tool for budget-conscious deck builders, valued primarily for its ability to provide utility in the highly interactive environment of multiplayer Commander games.
