Faerie

The Faerie token, marked as collector number 10, was released as part of the Starter Commander Deck Tokens collection. These tokens were produced by Wizards of the Coast to support the mechanics of Magic: The Gathering, specifically to represent the ephemeral creatures created by various spells and abilities that generate Faerie tokens on the battlefield. As a utility piece in the game, the design focuses on visual clarity while adhering to the established aesthetic of the faerie creature type within the game's expansive multiverse.

The art and design for these tokens are created by the internal art team and commissioned freelance artists tasked with maintaining thematic consistency across the game's various sets. The token is designed to be easily recognizable during play, featuring the quintessential wings, ethereal glow, and mischievous expressions characteristic of Faerie creatures in high fantasy art. Since its release, the token has been received as a functional necessity for players, appreciated by the community for providing a clean, official representation of a common game effect.
