Where it came from
Harness Infinity is part of the Strixhaven Art Series, a collection of double-sided cards released by Wizards of the Coast in 2021. This specific card represents the vibrant, magical aesthetic of the Strixhaven University setting, a plane dedicated to higher education in the arcane arts. The series was designed as a premium artistic showcase, featuring high-resolution, full-art illustrations on the front and a silver-stamped artist signature on the back, intended to celebrate the visual storytelling that defines Magic: The Gathering.
The artwork for this piece was created by Campbell White, who was commissioned to capture the surreal and expansive nature of the spell itself. White utilized a bold, ethereal color palette and intricate composition to evoke the feeling of boundless energy that the card’s name suggests. Upon its release, the Art Series was well received by collectors and fans of fantasy art for its ability to strip away the functional game text, allowing the visual language of the card to stand independently as a gallery-quality piece.
