Where it came from
Harness Infinity was released as part of the Strixhaven: School of Mages expansion in 2021, specifically appearing as a promotional card for the set. Strixhaven focused on a collegiate theme centered around five distinct magical colleges, and this card was designed to reflect the powerful, high-mana nature of the Prismari college, which emphasizes artistic expression and dramatic elemental magic.
The card's art was created by illustrator Zezhou Chen, who utilized a vivid, painterly style to capture the chaotic yet focused energy of the spell. Upon its release, the card was recognized by players for its late-game scaling potential in Commander formats, where its ability to return a player's graveyard to their hand served as a significant recovery tool, solidifying its place in the broader Strixhaven promotional catalog.
