Holy Armor

Holy Armor was printed in the 1994 Summer Magic set, also colloquially known as Edgar. This set was produced as a corrective limited release by Wizards of the Coast following the severe collation errors found in the original Magic: The Gathering Revised Edition. It was intended to address public dissatisfaction with the print run quality, though the resulting set became distinct due to its slightly different card stock and higher color saturation.

The card features an illustration by Dan Frazier, a prolific artist from the early days of Magic: The Gathering known for his clean, iconic style. The artwork depicts a glowing suit of medieval armor, fitting the card's function as a defensive aura. While the set was once overlooked by collectors who favored the original printings, the rarity of Summer Magic and the unique aesthetic of its prints have since made it a notable curiosity for historians of the game.
