Human

The Human token card, assigned collector number 1 in the Ravnica Allegiance set released in 2019, was designed to function as a supplementary game piece for Magic: The Gathering. These tokens were created to represent battlefield entities generated by various cards within the Ravnica-themed expansion, specifically those cards that create 1/1 white Human Soldier creature tokens. The inclusion of these physical cards allows players to track the presence and state of their summoned creatures during gameplay.

The visual design for this specific token reflects the aesthetic of the Ravnica plane, a world defined by its sprawling city-scape and intricate political factions. Illustrators for the Ravnica Allegiance set focused on maintaining thematic consistency with the set's identity, employing a gritty, urban-fantasy style that highlights the diversity and specialized gear of the city's inhabitants. Upon release, these tokens were well-received by the player base for their utility and ability to maintain visual continuity with the rest of the set's artwork.
