Icatian Javelineers

Icatian Javelineers were introduced in the 1994 Fallen Empires expansion for Magic: The Gathering. This set, the game's fourth major release, was designed to explore the flavor of a decaying, war-torn fantasy world through distinct tribal factions. The Javelineers represented the desperate military of the Icatian empire, a civilization struggling to maintain order amid political collapse and religious upheaval.

The card was illustrated by Scott Kirschner, whose work captured the gritty, grounded aesthetic that defined the mid-nineties era of the game.
