Where it came from
The Illusion token from the Reality Fracture series was introduced as a functional game piece to represent temporary, intangible creatures within the broader trading card game ecosystem. These tokens were produced to provide players with a standardized visual reference for effects that generate illusions, which are traditionally characterized by their ephemeral nature and reliance on specific game-state triggers.
The design aesthetic for the Reality Fracture tokens focuses on ethereal, shifting forms meant to evoke the concept of perception versus reality. While the artwork utilizes a collective artistic style consistent with the set's identity, the illustrations aim to convey a sense of fragility and artificiality, reflecting the mechanical drawback often associated with illusion-type cards in competitive play.
