What it does
Whenever you attack, target attacking creature can't be blocked this turn. It connives. Then choose another attacking creature with lesser power. That creature gains double strike until end of turn. (To have a creature connive, draw a card, then discard a card. If you discarded a nonland card, put a +1/+1 counter on that creature.)

Where it came from
Kamiz, Obscura Oculus was released in 2022 as part of the Streets of New Capenna Commander set. The character was designed to embody the themes of the Obscura, one of the five crime families in the city of New Capenna. As the leader of this faction, Kamiz represents the family’s focus on information gathering, magical manipulation, and tactical misdirection within the plane's art deco-inspired urban landscape.
The card’s illustration was created by artist Yongjae Choi, who focused on rendering Kamiz with a sleek, shadowy aesthetic that emphasizes her dual-natured, cephalopod-like features and her role as a master of illusions. Upon release, the design was noted for its utility in Commander format, particularly for players who enjoy aggressive combat strategies that utilize unblockable creatures and damage-doubling effects, cementing its place as a popular commander for players building around a distinct, multi-colored rogue-themed strategy.
