Where it came from
The Lander token was released as part of the Edge of Eternities Tokens collection, a specialized series designed to provide visual markers for players navigating the complex board states of the game. These tokens were introduced to address the need for distinct, high-quality representations of terrain-based game pieces, shifting away from generic counters toward illustrated components that integrate more seamlessly with the aesthetic of the primary game cards.
The design of the Lander follows the overarching visual language of the set, which emphasizes minimalist, atmospheric environments meant to evoke the desolation and scale of the game's setting. The illustrations favor muted palettes and sharp geometry to ensure the tokens remain legible during intense gameplay without distracting from the main deck composition. Upon release, the series was well received by the player community for its focus on functional clarity and consistent art direction.
