Where it came from
The Lander token was released as part of the Edge of Eternities expansion, a set designed to flesh out the secondary game components that accompany core gameplay. These tokens were produced to provide tactile, high-quality visual markers for players managing complex board states. The design team focused on creating a cohesive aesthetic that echoed the expansion’s overarching themes of shifting landscapes and cosmic transition.
The art featured on card number five was commissioned to reflect the desolate yet atmospheric tone of the Edge of Eternities setting. While these tokens are considered utility items rather than central gameplay pieces, they received appreciation from the community for their consistent color palettes and durable finish. The series established a standard for supplemental card design that prioritized readability during intense play sessions.
