Where it came from
Meet and Greet 'Sisay' was released in 2022 as part of the Unfinity set, the fourth installment in Wizards of the Coast’s 'Un-' series of Magic: The Gathering products. These sets are intentionally designed to exist outside the game's standard ruleset, focusing on humor, silver-bordered mechanics, and experimental card types that would be impossible to balance in tournament play.
The card features an illustration by Magali Villeneuve, a renowned fantasy artist known for her atmospheric, character-driven style. The design serves as a playful homage to the legendary character Sisay, a pivotal figure in Magic’s multi-year Weatherlight Saga. By tasking players with physically introducing themselves to their opponents, the card leans into the set's central theme of bridging the gap between the game’s competitive framework and the social, interactive nature of table-top gaming.
