Myr

The Myr token was released in 2018 as part of the Magic: The Gathering Commander 2018 product line. These tokens were created to support mechanics within the preconstructed decks that generate creature copies, specifically serving as a physical representation of the Myr creature type often found in artifact-focused strategies. The design reflects the visual language established for the Myr during the Scars of Mirrodin block, emphasizing their small, utilitarian, and mechanical appearance.

The illustration for this specific token adheres to the aesthetic standards set by Wizards of the Coast for their supplemental token cards. These pieces are designed to be functional and clear during high-intensity gameplay, focusing on identifying the creature's type and stats. While the token was not attributed to a single celebrated artist in the set documentation, its visual design remains consistent with the broader tradition of Myr creatures, which are characterized by their distinct modular, bug-like architecture and copper-toned metallic plating.
