Myr

The Myr token, designated as collector number 28 in the Commander 2021 release, represents a common mechanical recurring element within Magic: The Gathering. First introduced in the Mirrodin block, Myrs are iconic artificial constructs designed to serve as versatile assistants or mana-producing units. This specific token was produced to accompany the set's preconstructed decks, providing players with a physical reference for effects that create Myr creatures during gameplay.

The artwork for this token adheres to the established aesthetic of the Myr, featuring the spindly, insectoid metallic anatomy characteristic of the race. The design emphasizes the utilitarian and modular nature of these creatures, often depicted in varied metallic finishes to reflect their construction within the plane of Mirrodin. While tokens are typically viewed as functional game pieces rather than artistic centerpieces, this iteration was well-received by the community for its clarity and consistency with the modern Magic art style.
