What it does
Counter target spell unless its controller pays 3 generic mana. If that spell is countered this way, exile it instead of putting it into its owner's graveyard.

Where it came from
No More Lies is a card featured in the 2024 Magic: The Gathering expansion set, Murders at Karlov Manor. The set is themed around a top-down investigation narrative set in the city-plane of Ravnica, drawing heavy stylistic inspiration from classic noir and hardboiled detective fiction. As a white and blue mana spell, the card mechanically represents the 'counterspell' archetype, redesigned here to fit the flavor of a legal or social investigation where truth is enforced through authority.
The card was illustrated by artist Livia Prima, who utilized the set's signature aesthetic to depict a moment of interrogation or suppression. The design focuses on the tension between the inquisitor and the subject, emphasizing the set's commitment to themes of mystery and revelation. Upon its release, it was noted for its utility in competitive formats, particularly for its ability to exile spells while maintaining the traditional blue control identity within a modern Ravnica context.
