What it does
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player chooses target player who controls more creatures than they do and is their opponent. The first player may reveal cards from the top of their library until they reveal a creature card. If the first player does, that player puts that card onto the battlefield and all other cards revealed this way into their graveyard.

Where it came from
The Oath of Druids card was originally introduced in the 1998 Exodus expansion, designed as an enchantment that rewards players for having fewer creatures than their opponent. This specific iteration, released in the Commander 2016 set, features new artwork by artist Kev Walker. Walker’s depiction captures the theme of primal, nature-bound power, aligning with the card's mechanical utility of cheating powerful creatures from the library into play.
Within the context of the Commander 2016 set, this inclusion served to provide players with a powerful utility card for green-aligned decks. As a staple in various formats, the card is frequently analyzed for its ability to drastically shift board states. The Commander 2016 printing remains a popular choice for collectors who appreciate Walker's distinct illustrative style and the card's enduring legacy as a potent tool in competitive and casual play.
