What it does
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player chooses target player who controls more creatures than they do and is their opponent. The first player may reveal cards from the top of their library until they reveal a creature card. If the first player does, that player puts that card onto the battlefield and all other cards revealed this way into their graveyard.

Where it came from
Oath of Druids was originally printed in the 1997 Exodus expansion, designed by the Magic: The Gathering development team to provide a counter-strategy to aggressive creature-based decks. Mechanically, the enchantment rewards players for running few creatures by allowing them to reveal cards from their library until a creature is found, putting it directly onto the battlefield. This powerful effect established it as a centerpiece in various competitive formats, particularly in Vintage, where it formed the foundation of the long-standing 'Oath' archetype.
This specific printing appears in Mystery Booster 2, a product designed by Wizards of the Coast to celebrate the game's deep history through a curated, eclectic selection of cards. The artwork remains true to the original vision provided by artist Ron Spencer, whose surreal and organic style has become synonymous with the card's visual identity. By including it in this retrospective set, the developers highlighted its historical significance and ongoing influence on deck construction strategies over the decades.
