Prismatic Vista

Prismatic Vista was first introduced in the 2019 Modern Horizons set, a release designed specifically to inject cards directly into the Modern format without passing through Standard legality. It was engineered as a high-utility land, providing a flexible mana-fixing tool for decks that required specific basic lands while maintaining a low deck-building cost. The card quickly became a staple in eternal formats for its efficiency and aesthetic appeal.

The art was illustrated by Johannes Voss, who utilized a distinct, ethereal style to capture the concept of a shifting, kaleidoscopic landscape. The design focuses on the fluidity of mana, reflecting the card's mechanical ability to search for any basic land type. Upon release, the land was widely praised by the Magic: The Gathering community for its elegant functionality and has since seen multiple reprints, including its appearance as a retro-frame Timeshifted card in later sets.
