Reality Is Mine to Control // Reality Is Mine to Control

Released in 2024 as part of the Duskmourn: House of Horror Art Series, this card features a standalone piece of concept art from the set. The Duskmourn expansion draws heavily from 1980s horror tropes and survivalist aesthetics, centering on an infinite, malevolent house that consumes entire planes of existence. This specific piece was created to evoke the psychological dread and distorted reality that define the setting, moving away from traditional fantasy tropes toward a more visceral, urban-horror sensibility.

The art was crafted to highlight the eerie, surreal atmosphere of the House, utilizing lighting and composition to create a sense of being trapped within a shifting, sentient architecture. As part of the Art Series, these cards function as collectible, frame-free representations of the set's visual development, intended for fans who appreciate the aesthetic world-building of Magic: The Gathering. The card was met with appreciation from players who prioritize the atmospheric storytelling and distinct artistic identity that Wizards of the Coast fostered for this particular horror-themed release.
