Reanimated

Reanimated is a prominent inclusion in the Jumpstart (2020) set, a product designed by Wizards of the Coast to facilitate a quick, shuffle-ready limited play experience. As a front card, it serves to identify the thematic contents of a specific booster pack, allowing players to jump straight into a game without the need for traditional deck building. The design of the card features updated, evocative artwork that emphasizes the macabre nature of graveyard recursion, a core mechanic in black-aligned magic decks.

The card itself is a direct reprint of a classic black sorcery, originally debuting in the early days of the game. Its reintroduction in this set was intended to make a powerful, high-utility card more accessible to newer players while appealing to veterans who appreciate its legacy. The artwork and overall aesthetic were crafted to maintain the dark, atmospheric tone of the original while adhering to the modern, polished visual standards established by the company's current art directors.
