Garruk

The Garruk front card was released as part of the Jumpstart set in 2020. These oversized front cards were designed to represent the specific theme pack contained within each sealed Jumpstart booster, helping players identify the deck's archetypal strategy—in this case, the 'Garruk' pack, which centers on aggressive green creatures and planeswalker synergy. The set was created as a repeatable, standalone play experience intended to lower the barrier to entry for new players while providing unique reprints for established fans.

The artwork for this specific card features the iconic planeswalker Garruk Wildspeaker, rendered in the distinctive, high-fantasy aesthetic characteristic of the Magic: The Gathering brand. The design prioritizes visual clarity and thematic cohesion to distinguish the deck theme from the wide variety of other packs available in the product. Upon its release, Jumpstart was well-received by the community for its innovative drafting style, and these front cards have since become sought-after items for collectors interested in the complete visual history of the expansion.
