Rishadan Port

Rishadan Port was first introduced in the 1999 expansion Mercadian Masques, designed by Wizards of the Coast to emphasize the set's maritime, trade-focused theme. The card mechanically represents the port of the city of Rishadan, a locale notorious in the game's lore for its ruthless mercenary culture and exorbitant taxation, which is reflected in the card's ability to force opponents to pay mana or risk having their resources tapped down.

The Masters 25 version, featuring art by Colin Boyer, was released in 2018 to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of Magic: The Gathering. This reprint was included to provide players with access to a highly competitive staple that had become difficult to acquire in its original form, maintaining the utility of the original design while utilizing the updated aesthetic standards of the modern Masters series to highlight the card's significance in the game's competitive history.
