What it does
When this creature dies, you may exile it and put three time counters on it. If you do, exile up to one target creature and put three time counters on it. Each card exiled this way that doesn't have suspend gains suspend. (For each card with suspend, its owner removes a time counter from it at the beginning of their upkeep. When the last is removed, they may cast it without paying its mana cost. Those creature spells have haste.)

Where it came from
Sinister Concierge was released as part of the New Capenna Commander set in 2022, serving as a distinct promotional card tied to the release of the Streets of New Capenna expansion for Magic: The Gathering. The set drew heavily from 1920s Art Deco aesthetics and organized crime tropes, situating the card within the thematic framework of the five powerful families vying for control of the metropolis. As a mechanically unique card, it was designed to support the set's focus on political maneuvering and board state disruption.
The card features an illustrative style consistent with the 'Gilded Age' aesthetic prioritized by Wizards of the Coast for this release, emphasizing opulent surroundings and shadowy, noir-inspired character design. The illustration focuses on the archetype of the complicit servant, reflecting the set's preoccupation with loyalty, corruption, and the urban underworld. Upon its release, the card was noted by players for its niche utility in Commander format decks, where its ability to manipulate turn order or creature combat provides strategic control.
