Skysovereign, Consul Flagship

Skysovereign, Consul Flagship was originally introduced as a mythic rare vehicle in the Aether Revolt set released in 2017. Designed for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game, it depicts a massive, ornate vessel from the plane of Kaladesh, a setting defined by its art-deco inspired aesthetic and reliance on Aether-based technology. The card was created to emphasize the vehicle mechanic, which allows players to animate artifacts to participate in combat, effectively bridging the gap between structure and creature gameplay.

The specific version belonging to the Special Guests series features updated, thematic art that highlights the regal and imposing nature of the Consulate's military might. The illustration focuses on the flagship's sleek metallic lines and prominent flags, reflecting the industrial elegance that characterizes the Kaladesh aesthetic. Upon its release, the card became a staple in competitive formats due to its efficient power and ability to provide card advantage, cementing its reputation as one of the most recognizable artifacts in the modern history of the game.
