What it does
When this creature enters, it gains haste if it's summer. Put a +1/+1 counter on it if it's autumn. You gain 5 life if it's winter. If it's spring, search your library for a basic land card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle.
Summoned for all the wrong seasons.

Where it came from
Spirit of the Season was released in 2020 as part of Unsanctioned, a standalone Magic: The Gathering product designed for a casual, silver-bordered draft experience. This set was created by Wizards of the Coast to lean into the unconventional, humorous, and meta-textual design space that traditional tournament-legal sets generally avoid, offering players a unique environment that prioritizes joy and playability over competitive constraints.
The card features artwork by illustrator Fiona Staples, who utilized her signature expressive style to capture a festive, whimsical aesthetic. Within the context of the game, the card's mechanics revolve around the 'holiday' theme, rewarding players for having specific card types on the battlefield, which mirrors the set's broader goal of creating lighthearted synergies that break the standard rules of Magic.
