Submerged Boneyard

Submerged Boneyard was originally released in 2018 as part of the Commander 2018 set, a series of preconstructed decks designed specifically for the multiplayer Magic: The Gathering format. As a 'tapped land' that provides two colors of mana—Blue and Black—it serves a functional role in the Dimir color identity, helping players stabilize their resource base during the early turns of a game in exchange for entering the battlefield tapped.

The card features artwork by Cliff Childs, who has contributed extensively to the visual identity of Magic: The Gathering. The design focuses on the thematic elements of the Grixis and Dimir regions, illustrating a desolate, aquatic graveyard that reinforces the 'Submerged Boneyard' title. The card was well-received by the player base as an accessible utility land, providing an affordable and reliable mana source for Commander players looking to build multi-colored decks without needing expensive, high-rarity land options.
