What it does
Until your next turn, your life total can't change and you gain protection from everything. All permanents you control phase out. (While they're phased out, they're treated as though they don't exist. They phase in before you untap during your untap step.)
Exile Teferi's Protection.
"Someday, when the world is safe again, my homeland will return."— Teferi

Where it came from
Teferi's Protection was originally released in the 2017 Commander set and quickly became a staple of the format due to its unique ability to phase out the player and their permanents, providing a comprehensive defensive layer. The 2018 Judge Gift version was created as an exclusive promotional item to reward the community of Magic: The Gathering judges for their ongoing dedication to officiating events and fostering fair play within the game.
The artwork for this specific printing was illustrated by Johannes Voss, a prominent artist whose ethereal and narrative-driven style is highly sought after by collectors. Voss designed the illustration to capture the protective, temporal nature of the spell, moving away from the more literal interpretation of the original printing toward a more atmospheric, painterly depiction of time manipulation that was well-received by the player base for its aesthetic elegance.
