Provenance

Where it came from

The Monumental Facade was released as part of the Phyrexia: All Will Be One set in early 2023, serving as a tactical land card that reflects the set's central themes of artificial evolution and the corruptive influence of the Phyrexians. Its design focuses on the iconic, cold architecture of the plane of New Phyrexia, emphasizing the narrative of a world undergoing a brutal, mechanical transformation.

The artwork for this specific promotional version highlights the stark, industrial aesthetic favored by the Magic: The Gathering art team to convey Phyrexian dominance. Like other cards in the Phyrexia: All Will Be One expansion, this piece was intended to ground the player within the lore of the multiverse's most persistent antagonists, receiving praise from collectors for its clean, thematic composition that complements the set's overall visual language.
