Time Sieve

Time Sieve was originally released in the 2009 Magic: The Gathering set Alara Reborn, designed as an artifact that rewards players for accumulating smaller artifacts by granting them an extra turn. This iteration, appearing as collector number 1671, was released as part of a Secret Lair drop, a series of curated, limited-run prints that often feature specialized, stylized art distinct from the standard set releases.

The art for this specific printing was created by artist Livia Prima, who utilized an intricate, ethereal aesthetic to reflect the card's theme of temporal manipulation and mechanical complexity. The design moves away from the traditional, grounded fantasy tropes of the game’s core sets, opting instead for a vibrant, illustrative style that has become a hallmark of the Secret Lair series, generally well-received by collectors who prioritize unique artistic interpretations of staple mechanical cards.
