Where it came from
Toski, Bearer of Secrets was originally released in the 2021 set Kaldheim, drawing inspiration from Norse mythology. The character is depicted as a giant, indestructible squirrel who serves as the messenger of the World Tree, Yggdrasil. Within the game's mechanics, the card reflects the squirrel's relentless nature by ensuring its controller draws a card whenever a creature deals combat damage to an opponent.
This specific iteration, numbered 60 in the Special Guests series, features stylized, distinct artwork that diverges from the standard set aesthetic to offer a unique visual experience for players and collectors. The design leans into the whimsical yet formidable nature of the creature, emphasizing its status as an elusive entity within the lore of the multiverse. It was received positively by the community as both a functional tool for card draw strategies and a visually striking piece of supplemental card art.
