What it does
At the beginning of your end step, draw a card. If you control a Demon, each opponent loses 2 life and you gain 2 life. Otherwise, you lose 2 life.
(You may cast either half. That door unlocks on the battlefield. As a sorcery, you may pay the mana cost of a locked door to unlock it.)

Where it came from
Released in 2024 as part of the Magic: The Gathering expansion Duskmourn: House of Horror, this double-faced card represents the set's central thematic focus on 1980s-inspired supernatural terror and haunted architecture. The card functions as a 'room,' a unique card type introduced in this set to capture the feeling of exploring a sprawling, malevolent mansion that shifts and changes as inhabitants move through its halls.
The art and design were developed by the Wizards of the Coast creative team to evoke classic horror tropes, utilizing claustrophobic perspectives and visceral lighting to ground the card in the set's distinctive aesthetic. As a mechanical innovation, the card design emphasizes the structural instability of the house, allowing players to unlock different parts of the dwelling to trigger various chaotic effects, mirroring the experience of navigating a labyrinthine horror setting.
