What it does
At the beginning of your end step, draw a card. If you control a Demon, each opponent loses 2 life and you gain 2 life. Otherwise, you lose 2 life.
(You may cast either half. That door unlocks on the battlefield. As a sorcery, you may pay the mana cost of a locked door to unlock it.)

Where it came from
The Unholy Annex // Ritual Chamber double-faced card was released as part of the Duskmourn: House of Horror set in 2024. The set draws heavy inspiration from 1980s and 1990s horror aesthetics, centered on a malevolent, infinite house that consumes reality. This card represents the thematic core of the set, illustrating the unsettling architecture of the plane where physical space is twisted by eldritch forces.
The art and design were developed by the Wizards of the Coast creative team to evoke a sense of claustrophobia and ritualistic dread. The 's' suffix in the collector number denotes a specific promotional variant, likely utilizing special foil treatments or frames designed to emphasize the card's transformation mechanic. Upon release, the set was noted for its departure from traditional high-fantasy tropes, favoring a modernized, nostalgic horror visual language that resonated with fans of genre cinema.
