Urza's Rage

Urza's Rage was originally printed in the 2000 Invasion expansion, designed as a powerful red sorcery that could be played as an instant due to the kick mechanic. It became a hallmark of the era's competitive environment, favored for its uncounterable damage output which forced control players to play around its inevitability during the late game.

This specific iteration originates from the 2001 World Championship Decks, a product line created by Wizards of the Coast to replicate the exact deck lists used by the top eight finalists at the World Championships. Each card in these sets features a distinctive gold-bordered back and the player’s signature printed on the face, serving as a commemorative collectible that preserves a moment in professional Magic history rather than a card intended for standard tournament play.
