Urza's Rage // Urza's Rage

Urza's Rage was originally released in the 2000 set Invasion as a powerful red instant spell, designed to be a definitive finisher due to its kicker ability. The card became a staple in competitive formats of the time, celebrated for its efficiency and the narrative weight it carried as a representation of Urza, one of the most significant figures in the Magic: The Gathering multiverse. Its design reflected the high-stakes, magical warfare central to the storyline of that era.

This specific iteration is part of the Strixhaven Art Series, released in 2021 as a collection of oversized cards featuring high-quality, borderless prints of existing illustrations. These cards are designed as collector items meant to highlight the work of the illustrators rather than for use in standard gameplay. They serve as a retrospective tribute to iconic cards, allowing fans to appreciate the detailed artwork detached from the mechanical constraints of the card frame.
