Vow of Flight

Vow of Flight was released in 2018 as part of the Commander 2018 preconstructed deck series. This cycle of cards, known as the 'Vow' cycle, was designed to provide utility within the Commander format by granting a creature significant combat buffs while simultaneously imposing a restriction that prevents it from attacking the controller of the enchantment. It served as a functional tool for multiplayer politics, allowing players to influence board states by incentivizing opponents to attack others rather than themselves.

The card features artwork by Erica Yang, whose illustration depicts a stylized, mystical avian aesthetic consistent with the enchantment's theme of flight and celestial restriction. Yang’s design focuses on fluid lines and an ethereal color palette to emphasize the magical nature of the boon.
