Where it came from
The Warmaker Gunship, cataloged as 167p within the Edge of Eternities expansion, was released as a promotional card intended to bolster interest in the game's competitive circuit. It emerged during a period when the developers were shifting toward high-impact, tactical vehicle units to diversify the meta-game, aiming to provide players with a reliable board-clearing option that rewarded strategic positioning rather than brute force.
The visual design was crafted to evoke a sense of industrial menace, utilizing a cold, metallic palette that contrasted sharply with the vibrant, ethereal aesthetic of the main set. The illustration emphasizes the gunship's imposing silhouette, capturing a sense of kinetic energy that resonated well with fans of the game's tactical depth. Upon release, the card was received as a staple for deck builders, praised for its balanced mechanics and its ability to anchor complex defensive strategies.
