Welcome to Valley

Welcome to Valley is a specialized card originating from the Planechase format, a supplemental Magic: The Gathering product designed to introduce modular, plane-shifting mechanics to multiplayer games. Released as part of a limited experimental series, this card represents the intersection of the game's expansive multiversal lore and the mechanical complexity of environment-based play, intended to force players to adapt to shifting tactical landscapes during a match.

The card features thematic imagery that mirrors the surreal, planar aesthetics common to the Planechase line. Designed by the Wizards of the Coast internal creative team, the illustration captures the whimsical yet unsettling atmosphere of a valley within the Magic multiverse. Upon release, the card was received primarily by dedicated tabletop players who valued its ability to influence the board state, cementing its place as a niche utility piece within the broader, diverse ecosystem of the Planechase collection.
